Lido 14

WDS-Pic 1967 Lido 14

The lively performance and easy handling characteristics of the Lido 14 have made it one of the most popular family day sailors and racers in the United States and Mexico.

This sloop-rigged centerboarder has a hinged anodized aluminum mast and tilt-up rudder for easy launching and is equipped with the most modern hardware. The roomy 8' cockpit comfortably seats six on the contoured seats which double as flotation tanks.

Mainly found in the Western US, the Lido 14 has favor with a large amount of sailors that have the racing bug in them. In 1995 it was updated, some call this the Mark II but the factory does not. The deck and many other items were changed but the hull was left alone in order that it would remain a one design and be able to compete with the older models.

As of May 2002 there have been about 6200 made by WD Schock and other manufactures.
